The Mountain Madness Ultra takes place in the rugged highlands of
Maiella, Naivasha,
on the edge of the vast Mau Forest. This remote region sits at an altitude of 2,000–2,700
meters, offering a mix of rocky ridges, rolling hills, forest trails, and open meadows—
ideal for a true mountain trail challenge.
Just past Lake Naivasha’s South Lake Road, runners are greeted by misty mornings,
crisp mountain air, and sweeping views across the Rift Valley. Expect technical terrain,
natural river crossings, and the occasional cheer from local villagers and wildlife.
Raw, remote, and breathtaking—this is where the madness begins.
