1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1. Bucketlist Adventures organizes a wide range of outdoor, endurance, and adventure experiences under its flagship Bucketlist Adventure Series. These include:

  • a) Obstacle races, trail runs, and mountain challenges.
  • b) Ultra-distance events across deserts, forests, and high-altitude terrain.
  • c) Social and themed races like the Nairobi Beer Mile.
  • d) Cultural and cause-driven events, such as those supporting girls’ education.

1.2. Events are physically demanding and often take place in remote, rugged environments. They are designed for both local and international participants, ranging from fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes to corporate teams and community groups.

2.1. Participation in Bucketlist Adventure Series events is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. Persons under the age of 18 ("minors") may only participate where the event allows for youth involvement and where prior written consent is provided by a parent or legal guardian. The Parent or Guardian must:

  • 2.1.1. Complete and sign the required the Registration Forms and all other documentation that will be provided prior to participation.
  • 2.1.2 Acknowledge and accept all terms, risks, and responsibilities on behalf of the minor.
  • 2.1.3 Ensure the minor is adequately prepared, supervised (where required), and able to safely participate in the activity.

2.2. By registering for any event, you confirm that you:

  • 2.2.1. Meet the age requirement or have secured the appropriate guardian consent if under 18.
  • 2.2.2 Have read and understood the applicable terms and conditions.
  • 2.2.3 Are physically and medically fit to participate in strenuous and potentially hazardous outdoor activity.
  • 2.2.4 Agree to comply with all event rules, safety instructions, and eligibility requirements.

2.3. Bucketlist Adventures reserves the right to decline or revoke participation at any stage if false or misleading information is provided or if a participant is deemed unfit or unsafe to engage in the event.

3.1. By participating in any Bucketlist Adventure Series event, you acknowledge, agree and accept that these activities may:

  • 3.1.1. Carry inherent and unavoidable risks, including the risk of serious harm, injury, permanent disability (whether physical, mental or emotional) or death;
  • 3.1.2. Be conducted in remote or unpredictable environments, often far from immediate medical care, and may involve exposure to wildlife, extreme weather, natural terrain hazards, and physically demanding conditions.

3.2. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, all participants are required to read, understand, and sign a separate Waiver and Release of Liability form before taking part in any Bucketlist Adventure Series event.

3.3. The Waiver and Release of Liability form outlines the specific risks, legal disclaimers, and responsibilities associated with participation, and serves to formally record the participant’s voluntary assumption of those risks.

3.4. The waiver will be provided during the registration process for every event and is also available for review on our website at https://races.bucketlist.co.ke/terms-conditions.

3.4. Participation is strictly conditional upon the signing and submission of the Waiver and Release of Liability form. No individual will be permitted to engage in any event without completing it.

4.1 All registrations for Bucketlist Adventure Series events must be completed through the official online platform and are subject to full payment at the time of booking. Registration is only considered valid and confirmed upon receipt of payment and issuance of a confirmation email or ticket by Bucketlist Adventures.

4.2 Event slots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to participants who have completed all registration requirements.

4.3 Registrations are non-transferable, and a participant may not assign, sell, or give their slot to another individual without prior written consent from Bucketlist Adventures.

4.4 Bucketlist reserves the right to decline, cancel, or waitlist registrations based on availability, eligibility, or failure to complete the required steps or provide necessary information.

4.5 Once submitted and paid, registrations are binding and subject to the cancellation and refund policies detailed separately or communicated during registration.

5.1 All participants are required to strictly adhere to safety instructions, operational guidelines, and event-specific rules as communicated by Bucketlist Adventures, its staff, guides, or safety personnel.

5.2 This includes but is not limited to:

  • 5.2.1. Wearing and correctly using any mandatory safety gear or equipment provided or prescribed (e.g., helmets, hydration packs, reflective clothing)
  • 5.2.2. Following designated routes, timing protocols, and instructions issued before or during the event.
  • 5.2.3. Maintaining respectful and responsible behavior toward fellow participants, event officials, volunteers, and local communities.
  • 5.2.4. Refraining from the use of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances before or during the event.

5.3 Bucketlist Adventures reserves the right to immediately remove or disqualify any participant who:

  • 5.3.1. Acts in a manner that is reckless, non-compliant, abusive, disruptive, or endangers others.
  • 5.3.2. Refuses to follow safety instructions or procedures.
  • 5.3.3. Is found to be under the influence of any substance that impairs judgment or performance.
  • 5.3.4. Such removal may occur without prior warning and without refund, and may further result in restriction from future events.

6.1 Payment Methods

  • 6.1.1. Participants may pay deposits, balances, and other applicable fees using any lawful payment method accepted by Bucketlist Adventures. Accepted forms of payment may include bank transfers, mobile money, debit/credit cards, or other approved payment platforms.

6.2 All payments must be made in the currency specified on your invoice and into the corresponding account denominated in that same currency. You are responsible for ensuring that:
